Jane Ann Bartell

Jane Ann is originally from New York.  She began dancing at 5 under the instruction of the world renown "teacher's teacher" Debbi Dee and the great tap legend Henry LeTang.  She began teaching at 14 and moved to NYC at 18.  She then trained with master teachers Phil Black and Michelle Assaf.  Her professional dance and musical theatre career then took her worldwide.  Jane is proud to say she has performed in every state of the continental U.S., as well as the Bahamas, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, Israel, and Italy.  Her musical theatre credits include 6 international and national companies of "42nd St"   and 3 companies of "A Chorus Line".  Other musical theatre credits include Will Rodgers Follies, Sugar Babies, Big River, Sweet Charity, Pippin, Hello Dolly, South Pacific, etc.,  as well as numerous reviews.  She has also performed on cruise ships, various variety and awards shows on tv, and industrials for Moet, Mercedes Benz, and PepsiCo.

 

In New York City she was a member of Commotion -a rhythm tap trio performing off Broadway at venues such as:  Don't tell Mama's and Steve McGraw's.  

 

Jane was also Dance captain to the Radio City Rockettes, performing with them for 6 years.  She performed with headliners such as Susan Anton, Maurice Hines, Paige O'Hara, and  Rip Taylor.   

 

Jane has choreographed for theme parks and cruise ships.   Currently she gears her creative energy into teaching and choreographing- locally - she has choreographed various musicals such as:  West Side Story, Oklahoma, Little Shop of Horrors, Guys and Dolls, Jesus Christ Superstar, 42nd St., Big Fish and Crazy For You.   

 

Jane's love of dance runs deep and her life long passion lies in passing it on to all who wish to dance on !
